Appointments

Consultations are by appointment and can be booked in person, over the telephone (Option 1) or Online via the Online Services available to patients who have registered.

On the day Appointments

GP & Nurse Practitioner led Appointment System.

How does it work?

You call our reception team on 01406 423288 between 8am and 12pm. The receptionist will ask you for an indication of the problem and also the contact number to ring you back, in order that they can ensure you are put on the appropriate Call-Back list.

The clinician will then endeavour to return your call within 1-3 hours to discuss the problem with you and decide what is needed next. In around 50% of cases the clinician will be able to give you advice and reassurance without the need to be seen. If the clinician needs to see you, you should be able to attend the practice on the day you make your call to us.

Enhanced Access to Another Local GP Surgery

Holbeach Medical Centre is part of the South Lincs Rural Primary Care Network (PCN), being a member of the PCN gives our patients access to out of hours appointments at 5 other PCN member practices. Please ask a member of the reception team for availability. Note: The appointment will not be with your usual GP and you will need to be able to make your own travel arrangements.

Emergencies

If you feel your medical condition is "life threatening" then you should dial 999 for emergency services. Otherwise we have a duty doctor on call for all on the day dealing with acute/emergency requests.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to the duty doctor, please leave your name and contact telephone number the doctor will then ring you back as soon as conveniently possible.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
