When We Are Closed

After 18:30 and before 08:00 and also Saturday and Sunday, if you require medical advice please ring 111 for the NHS 111 Service.

NHS 111 is free to call and is fast and easy to obtain the right help, whatever your need, wherever you are, and whatever the time. You can now call 111 when you need medical help fast, but it isn't a 999 emergency.

You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation.

Remember Dial 111

  • it's not a 999 emergency
  • you think you need to go to A&E or another NHS urgent care service
  • you don't think it can wait for the surgery to open
  • you don't know who to call for medical help

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
